Sealine 310 AD31-130HP

What sort of performance or not do the VP AD31 130HP engines installed on a Sealine 310 give this boat. I've heard lots about windage and falling off the plane easy but has anyone got some experience with these engines in a similar boat, 5 tons about. AD41's or Mercruser 170 would appear to be a better match? Thoughts please.

Thanks Paul. I think I kinda guessed as much. You may have saved me a lot of money. I probably owe you a pint or two. We've just seen an absolutely peach example but its got these two AD31's in. I guess I'll have to think about an AD41 powered one.

Paul's right. Our F'line T29 is about 4 tonnes and struggles with full tanks with the AD31P's (the 150hp variant). 5 tonnes and the AD31L's will be avery iffy combination.

thinik coliholics mirage has the same things, doesn't belt along but does get on plane eventually, bit naughty in between the locks but livens things up...

Yeah, ad31's in my sunfury 26 ok but wouldn't like to think they had to push anything bigger.
