Some of mine fell to bits today whilst I was cleaning. Seems it has expired having been wet in the distant past. It's a hessian type material with a seemingly rubberised back and behind that, some foam which has turned black in places. Any ideas of sources and techniques for applying? Also, I don't see any way of removing the aluminium trim round the portholes; was thinking on glueing material around and perhaps hot glueing some thin line to tidy the edge if I can't get the trim off to put the material behind - again any tips greatly appreciated. Tom.

I'm now in the process of renewing all interior linings on my 218, it had done the same as yours, the window trims are easy, you remove the rubber trim from outside and then take out the screws, trims are then free.
My foam had turned to a black grease like substance, its not been easy cleaning up.

I wondered about those trims but I think mine would break if I removed. Might see if new ones are available from Nick Seabridge. When you remove the screws, does that break the seal between the window and the hull or just release the trim?

Trim should come away easily, then you need to gently break seal and remove window.
I'm removing mine this weekend if all goes to plan, will get some pictures.

Thanks. I don't really want to remove the window, just the outer trim in the cabin. Good luck with yours and look forward to the pictures!
