I couple of years ago, I refurbished the windows on my Snapdragon. Since then, they've leaked, probably worse than they did before I did them and it appears that the leaks are between the frame and the perspex. The sealant isn't adhering to either the aluminium frame or the perspex.

I'm going to have to rip it all apart and start again, but what sealant would you recommend? Also, what would you use between the frame and the GRP? The obvious choices seem to be neoprene or butyl.
 
Did my Moody 3 years ago. I used grey CT1 to set the perspex into the ali frame as it adheres well without shrinkage and used butyl tape between the frame and the fibreglass . The butyl tape requires good compression with the frame screwed down to be totally effective.
 
Butyl worked for me. Eagle windows refurbished the windows for me with new Perspex, and supplied me with sufficient tubes of butyl sealant to refit. No leaks in 10 years since the job was done
 
Water used to pour into my Sadler. Rebedding it made no difference but Creeping Crack Cure solved the problem for at least ten years. Lazy but easy.
