Hi all,
just been scrapping my old 33' wooden fishing boat and salvaged a lot of the iroko deck and other various good bits of timber
What I want to do is use the inch thick iroko to make a new fore and aft deck on my 20' glass open boat, it has hardwood gunwales but it had a ply fore and aft deck that was rotted and been removed.
would a normal polysulphide sealant be the best for bedding the planks? what would be the best to use to caulk the joints for a nice finish? the big boat was bitumen sealed but all thats been scrapped off now so good clean planks.
