My boat was lifted yesterday after ten months immersion (Portsmouth Harbour based). We applied white Seajet Emporer antifoul during March 2006 as we had been advised that it is colour stable (doesn't go blue/green due to copper content). Indeed it is colour stable, the bootline has not turned green/blue. When lifted yesterday the hull was exceptionally fouling free, the pressure wash off has turned the hull back to almost the same colour as when first applied. Having used International a/f for the past ten years I have to say that I am mighty impressed with Seajet Emporer - wholly recommended.

I have no associations with Seajet etc...........................

Quite agree. I used Seajet for 4 years in Gosport and it was every bit as good as International's 'Optima' if not better, but cheaper and much easier to put on.

Interesting!
Same location.
Seajet 033.
One coat.
Minimal fouling (slime but no barnacles or weed) and minimal speed loss by end of season.

One coat - interesting. I'm going for one coat Emporer this season. Do you think your one coat has been adequate protection for ten/twelve months afloat?

Seajet Shogun - Year 1 fantastic.

Year 2 less so

Last year - year 3- absolutely awful.

Is it the way I have ben putting it on or is the water different? Or the a/foul?

Will be back to trying International next year.

Robih, personally I would go for 2 coats if I was planning 10/12 months afloat. I only bought my boat at the beginning of 2006 but we used it regularly which I guess keeps it cleaner. It has been kept on a swinging mooring off Burrow Island. The original owner had kept it in Campers/Gosport Marina for 4 years and was always happy with just one coat for his 7 to 8 month season.

I have been using Seajet for the last four seasons, firstly Shogun 033 and more recently Emperor 034.

When my boat came out in the middle of December having been in since early March without any sort of scrub, she was so clean I seriously though of cancelling the jet wash and saving the monet she was so clean.

When I first applied Seajet, I put on two coats, thereafter one coat per season.

Highly impressed with the product, satisfied customer - no connection.

I'll second that. Would not use anything else now, and it's half the price of International and Blakes.
