Seagull poo and sprayhoods!!!

I know this is a recurring subject, but has anyone got any proven methods to remove the staining left after these delightful seabirds decide to target my spray hood?

We used lots of water to soften it then removed it with a sponge, we went very carefully, not applying too much pressure with the sponge, so as not to damage the fabric.

Patio Magic should remove any staining, and will clean the sprayhood as well.

I initially wash with seawater so that the osmotic effect draws it out of the cloth. The more I think about it, the more this sounds like complete nonsense, but it seems to help anyway.

Don't us any chemical it risks damaging the fabric, water works so why use anything else especially if harmful.
