Fancy putting reverse on a Seagull. That must give it at least 3 moving parts now. It was bound to end in tears! /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

It will no doubt be the rod connector. Try loads of WD40 in the space where the rod goes into the gear box. There should be a screw on the rod to achieve some adjustment as well. And has your gearbox got fresh oil in it? That might also help.

thank you for your sensible reply Jimminy ,will try loads of wd40 tonight and see what it looks like in the light of day ,and yes i suppose a seagul would silly on a tupperware
