seafarer D800

help. I have a old newbridge fitted with a seafarer D800. the battery conections were badly corroded so i replaced them with a lage 9v battery. This apears to have worked but now I have to work out how the functions work. any help would be very usefull. many thanks

Okay, I know this was 20 years ago, so if you are still out there... did you ever get a manual (I have one if you still need it!!!) and how did you split the D800 to fit the 9v battery (I can't see a way in!). Thanks.
