One of the Phosphor bronze bolts on my toilet inlet seacock has sheared off.
(no I did not do it, It was like that when I got it)

The fitting is a 3/4 inch Blakes

Can anyone tell me where I can get a new bolt from?
I can't find a supplier on the net that offers just the bolts.
I can get the whole fitting but £95.00 is a bit much to get a bolt!

Thanks in advance.

Try Anglia Stainless - they do Silicon Bronze. They are at Stanton in Suffolk not far from Bury St Edmunds but do mail order 01359-251414 or 1417

"the Chandlers on the RHS as you drive down towards Gosport"

Sounds like Arthur's if a little way out from the centre, or Solent Marine if just before the Town centre/ Ferry area. Both good, but I'd try Arthur's first for a bolt.

BTW, What state is the other one in? If it gave up the ghost before you fit a replacement, which supplier to buy a couple of bolts from is likely to be the least of your worries.

Thanks chaps

2 bolts ordered from Classic Marine.

The bolt in question is one of the bolts that hold the fitting to the hull not the bolts that hold the top plate down.
There are 4 bolts in total.
1 has sheared off. It looks like it may have gone last time it was installed.
All the other 3 are sound with no waisting or signs of stress.

A spare bolt has been ordered in case I manage to make a cock-up of installing the 1st one.

I had the same problem, bronze bolts sheared with no clear cause. I went to order replacements from Chillington Marine who supplied spares for Blakes at that time. The nice guy on the other end of the line asked how old the failed bolts were, and when I said ´about eight years´, he said that that was about the usual time they lasted. At this point I stopped trying to order more of the same. I fitted stainless bolts, with lots of sealant to obviate the crevice corrosion problem. That was about eighteen years ago, and she is still afloat. I have withdrawn a couple of the bolts to check them, and then refitted the originals. My boat is ferro cement, and there may be more electrolytic activity involved that in your AWB, but that does not explain the guy saying eight years is the average before failure.
Imagine Airbus Industries selling aeroplanes with bits in them which WILL cause a crash after eight years in service, safely out of guarantee.
