I've searched the archives and can't find the answer to this one.
I've got seaclear loaded and working in 'standalone' mode, not difficult.
I've got my Garmin 45 cobbled up to the back of the laptop. If I go to tools, system, NMEA input monitor: I see lots of impressive looking messages starting with a $ and containing some recognisable info. Garmin I/O is set to NMEA/NMEA.
My problem is that Seaclear doesn't seem to think anything is coming in and only shows me the DR panel. This has got to be a simple problem to the knowledgeable denizens of the forum...

Well, who feels a real chump then?
All those messages coming out of the GPS fooled me into thinking it was doing something. When I started trying to decode the messages, it turned out it was telling me it couldn't get a fix...
Took it into the garden, hope the neighbours weren't watching, and bingo, it all works perfectly...
Sorry if anyone wasted any time...

Been there done that! looking at the server time of your postings I cant help wondering if an evening down the pub was the problem, or was it just plain exhaustion after a hard days work. You would not belive the mistakes I make with such things after a few beers!!
