Hi all
Just brought a Seabee 4 outboard but doesnt seem a lot of information around regarding these that i can see.
Does anyone know where i can get parts, looking for a fuel tank, do any tanks from anything else fit, anyone done ths or could i rig up an external tank with a hose running to the engine.
Also any service manuals around for these?
Thanks
Mark

As far as I am aware, the Seabee 4 used the ubiquitous J.A.P. 34cc engine. I'm afraid I sold two brand new ones of these last year. Complete engines come up occasionally on eBay and spares are readily available.

Hi
Have tried the email address it just bounces straight back so maybe hes not selling anymore? Thanks for info will search for the 34cc jap engine and see if that yields results.
Thanks all
Mark

No luck, i want to give the engine a good service but before i start does anyone know where u can get seabee 4 spares in the UK?
The email address i was given earlier just bounces back all the time?

As the owner of two Sea bee 3's, I think your Sea bee 4 has the 79.7 cc JAP motor. I have purchased spare parts from www.villiersparts.co.uk for the JAP motors. Good luck with it! One of my outboards works fine but the other one doesn't like the water!

If your Sea bee 4 uses the same motor as my 3's then this info might be useful.

Spark plug - NGKB6HS, gap 0.025 in
contact breaker gap - 0.018 in
Fuel mixture - 20:1
Ignition timing - 7/64 in or 25 degrees before TDC
Bore - 46 mm
Stroke - 48 mm

The gearbox is filled with under-water grease.

Hi
Thanks for your input on this much appreciated, you say mine has the JLO head the item is blue in colour, white prpellor and the canopy is white with seabee 4 written on each side in blue.
Last night i saw a manual on ebay for a seabee 4 so took a punt and brought ig hopefully ot for mne.
Do you know if the JLO was used under other names so i can look for some spare parts, i want to strip down the carb and clean it but assuming i will then need new gasketsetc.
Regards
Mark

Sorry - don't know much about JLO but Villiersparts advertise that they can help with JLO carb parts. It might be worth giving them a call anyway, because JLO was a respected manufacturer of small motorcycle engines in Germany - much akin to Villiers! If they can't help you out, they might know who can.
