New boat launched (gently placed in water) today at Plymouth, engines PDI'd and first two hours logged, bitterly cold but wonderfully satisfying day. Saw 30 knots at 3200 rpm with engineers on board, they expect this to rise when engines loosen up.
There has been some cosmetic damage done to the polished joinery, the dealer is claiming that the damage was done by a third party engineer (who I commisioned) to fit the heating, the engineer is not denying that he did the damage, but should i sign the acceptance from the manufacturer or should i let the dealer oversee the repairs. When should the acceptance be signed? There are so many complecated systems on the boat it would take weeks to confirm that everything is functioning correctly.
