Hi Guys,
I am looking to purchase a snuffer. I am interested to hear from anyone who has used the sea teach "brand" as opposed to other suppliers. Are they any good? Any problems...what were they?

I have used one of these for the past 6 or 7 years. It seems to work ok, i dont use it very often but it has never jammed or failed to do its job. I have used it on my 36ft yacht with a Sea Teach cruising shute.

Haven't used a Seateach model but have used snuffers on previous boats 36' mono and 40' cat and found them very effective. However, my current boat; 50' mono came with a elvstrom furling assymetric and it is FANTASTIC. The endless furling line can be used without a winch and one handed, to bring in the assymetric easiliy and quickly. I accept you may already have the sail for your snuffer enquiry but if not seriously consider a furling one.

Many thanks for the quick response guys, as you guessed I already have a symetrical spinnaker and would like to use the snuffer when cruising short handed(saves the additional cost of extra furling gear). I just wasn't sure about the flexible nylon mouth. I thought the mouth was supposed to be made of something more ridgid like GRP ?
