I've just heard a good cure for sea sickness - sit under a tree!

Heard it many times but it does not work.

Theoretically, mounting a full size tree on deck would increase the moment of inertia of the boat. That, and the increased air resistance, should considerably steady the motion of the boat.

But I must admit that I haven't tried it.

I dont get sea sick I get landsick!-just a few hours in rough conditions and when I hit hard ground I can hardly stand up!

I am exactly the same, never ill on a boat, step off onto land then it is game over for me, usually ill for at least 24 hours! I just put up with it and take it as a hazard of my hobby.
