I'm writing on behalf of the Sea Scouts based in Molesey.
We're a mobile group and so we have to trailer all of our boats and equipment from our headquarters in Molesey to the river at Sadlers Ride. I'm sure you can appreciate the extra hassle/logistical problems this causes for our already hard-working volunteer leaders.
We regularly take the Scouts out in our 20' Home Counties Gig and this involves trailering and then launching/recovering at the Sadlers Ride slipway. Anyone that has seen this slipway will know that it stops abruptly at the water's edge meaning launching/recovering anything bigger than a kayak is a nightmare.
We are a looking for a kind offer from someone that lives on/moors on/near Garrick's Ait to allow us some mooring space alongside or otherwise for a couple of months a year.
This would be a great help and allow us to get the young people out on the water enjoying themselves more regularly - the logistical challenge has often meant we have had to cancel sessions through lack of tow-bars in the past.
I'd be really grateful if you could pass this round anyone who lives/moors on this reach.
