Going to Christchurch/Poole and Lymington on sat to start the search for our first boat. Can't wait!! Any pointers on reputable dealers/boat shops? (are they called that??)
Thanks

Thanks

If you're coming to Poole have a nose around Cobb's Quay as there are a number of good dealers and loads of boats for sale - all shapes and sizes.
I'd do a bit of Googling first, to see if there are any for sale, rather than driving around, getting nowhere. In Poole, for example, there seems to be one on the market with Parkstone Bay Yachts.
Definitely worth giving Marina Marbella a ring, at Hamble Point Marina, as they are the main UK Sea Ray dealers and are likely to have one or two on their books.
Have fun.
There is a Sea Ray at Littlehampton Marina for sale could be on their web site, Dont know the year or price. I know the current owner and was well looked after he was good boat handler.

Keep a somewhat open mind on your make, don't miss a good well found boat or a deal because you are fixed on a Sea Ray, look, research and ask advice.
keep away from Simco if you go to Cobbs
Hi again Tidnock.
Keeping an open mind for sure
Thanks for your advice

£12k is the asking price, of course. In the current climate I'd make my opening offer at least 20% lower than that, and allow myself to be talked up. A bit......Thanks once again all.
Have to say, haven't seen anything less than £12000 and that's for 1998 model. Hamble point is going to be the starting point on sat...thanks Paul.

Lisilou, I know you think you know what boat you want, but if I were you I'd do my PB2 first, then decide. I definitely knew I wanted a sports boat of the type you're after before I did my PB2. After I'd done it, we bought a MF625!
All I'm saying is don't jump in, do your homework first. Go on a few boats, speak to the owners so you can get a feel for what's good for you. I'm not knocking Sea Ray 215's, they're good boats, we just found out they didn't suit our requirements.
Happy hunting!
