Sea Ray and Balsa Core Bottoms

I know this subject has been raised before but anyone owning or contemplating buying a Sea Ray really should read the article at

Anyone know whether any of the big UK manufacturers use balsa cored hull bottoms?

I dont know about big, but "Toughs" used them in the 70s.
And the end result is just the same - bad news.
