I am looking at a Sea Quencher 200 watermaker, allegedly putting out 31l/hr at 14A consumption. Any experience with this equipment?

Thanks

No experience, but Offshore Marine Labs (makers of Sea Quencher) seems to be the same company as Village Marine (who have an established reputation for watermakers).

Can't comment specifically on Sea Quencher but I am always a bit iffy about systems which claim to use unique pumps etc.. All watermakers use the same principles and most use standard components which you can more easily replace/substitute. There are some exceptions which use special 'recovery' pumps to increase output. If you are not familiar with watermakers I strongly recommend you research more both on this forum (plenty of threads) and the net.

A good guide is http://www.sv-precious-moments.com/justwater.htm
which aims to tell you how to build your own, but also gives a good explanation of the basic principles.
