From memory, SP Lite uses Livecharts which are "intelligent" charts and also raster charts which scanned charts. I think that you would be wasting your time trying to use your own charts. In fact I don't think it's technically feasible unless you are a Seapro developer. What's wrong with the ones that come with SP Lite? From what I 've seen of the latest versions they look good. For £99 for the software and charts for the whole of the UK, it seems a bargain.
