Why, if the local levels are rising, does everywhere I sail seem to get shallower every year?

This is just a whinge from an inefficient navigator, but there are some strange anomalies. I believe that part of Sweden in the Gulf of Bothnia holds the record for the greatest rate of rise of land, where you can almost watch the land going up.

Yes in Sweden you are supposed to adjust charted depths for land rise since the Chart was printed.

Currently starting to change charts to a new Baltic datum - which I think is land referenced so will no longer need to do this.
But as electronic charts like Navionics don’t seem to be able to show you the actual datum in use, for the ext few years it will be guesswork as to what the actual depths are.
