Sea Anchor

Would a builder's bag make a good sea anchor? I was sorting through a small pile of builder's bags (the type they deliver sand and gravel in) in my shed and came across a couple of unused ones. Apart from collecting leaves in them the only other use I could think of would be as a sea anchor - would it work? or as a paddling pool in shark infested waters? Any suggestions of maritime uses for builder's bags?

There is a refundable deposit on these. Take it back to the suppliers and put the money towards a proper sea anchor

Thanks Tony - agread not really suitable as a sick bag, but perhaps great potential as a massive fender to be hung strategically around the lock?
