SE/Kent - Engineer for Perkins 6.354 115hp diesel (1979)

Any recommendations for a marine engineer in the SE (Kent) who knows these units intimately? I'm chatting to someone who's just bought a 1960's boat that has a family connection to me, it's fitted with these lumps and needs some serious engine work. PM if preferred.

If you try the Broom owners club forum there is loads of info on old Perkins.

Thanks Chris - but I don't need the info, but I'm hoping for a recommendation for an engineer (ie a human person with extensive Perkins knowledge)...

I know the 6.354 well having had them in a boat for 15 years.

Trouble is now that its been out of production 30 years. Not many left, the cast iron exhaust manifold saw to that.

The horizontal engines and the contra rotating engines have some shortages I believe.

Not sure about the earlier engines, I would think dot4 might be ok.

As Chris d said the Broom owners is the place to go.
