It also usually clashes with the Southampton Boat Show.
12-24 September.
So on that basis it should be 20/21 Sept.
But I think someone needs to take on the role of organiser first.

In previous threads I nominated 13/14 sept as I thought that nearest heaps. I think Fergus has reserved YC.
I intend same format as previous years and hope 2013 was our bad weather year.
These dates were posted IIRC I late 2013 & again in February 2014.
I assume a number will be planning around these dates now!

Thanks for the reminder, we will work around those dates and hope for better weather than last year, if not then Poole again! Poole seems to be our default "must get out of the solent but not good enough for cross channel " destination!

Hmm- may I register my very early- and tentative- interest?
I may well be back in the UK by then, and rather than inflict my seasick self on other long suffering members of the forum, I will try and make it on my own boat.... single handed if I can't persuade my crew.

Atrocious choice of weekend - every year its the same, in that I start my new student intake in mid-Sept and can never therefore inflict myself on the merry company!

Just got confirmation from Fergus that YC is booked for 13th Sept.
Hopefully last year was our quota for bad weather and the weather gods will be kind this year
Will do the formal invite with intention for anyone that is not aware of the weekend format in June. Will go quite in July and early part of August when on summer cruise and finalise spreadsheet etc in sept.
For those that have used my work e mail before please note that only my personal one will work after may 14 as I am hanging up my work boots.
After 52 yrs of full time work a new era commences!
