Police arrested a numbnuts approximately 0300 Saturday, after security alerted them of an intruder on two boats at Calshot Activity Centre, this nice individual was taken into their care after jumping off my boat,(she's on the hard for maintenance)running down the beach and tried to swim to freedom, but his hoodie and over jacket nearly drowned him as it got waterlogged , he was thrown a life ring from the pontoon and taken into custody, then wrapped in a blanket, the arresting officer said he had a duty of care to his prisoner, I offered to help but he said my size 10 steel toe capped boots might get damaged against his head.

His story was he is of no fixed abode and was looking for somewhere to sleep the night, funny how my radio which is built into the boats panelling was on it's way out of it's housing with damaged cabinet surround and the wires cut,the portside wheelhouse door jimmied open and every locker opened, a friends boat was moored on the pontoon had the cabin doors kicked in breaking all the hinges but nothing taken. Two hours with SOCO and my finger prints taken.

Security phoned me to let me know there was an intruder on my boat and that plod was called and on their way, I arrived as they took him out of the water,he was out on bail 12 hours later, court appearance 6 June the police informed me later that day.

Police called out SOCO on the scene, police custody officers, court appearances for what? probably community service and don't do it again. what's the bloody point?

Am I and my friend pissed about it? not much, all we wanted to do was take the bar steward out in the forest tie him to a tree and beat him with a 25mm hose until he understood what he had done wrong.

This reminded me of an incident in Las Palmas. I was on board a friends boat with a few others enjoying a drink, someone turned to one of the others and said "who've you left on your boat?", it turned out the owner was American and an ex SWAT member, before you could say "oi you" he was after the thief who jumped overboard but so did the SWAT guy too and to cut a long story short, he saved the thief from drowning but still apprehended him and handed him over the local police. It was very impressive to see the SWAT guy in action!

You're right, contact counselling to include blunt testicular trauma would be much more satisfying, and probably more effective.

If it had been my boat, the plod would of had to use a cutting tool to get the creature off the scaffolding tube that it had speared itself on during the "legging it" procedure....... .........heap of dogsh*t..

Trouble is Steve these people have got rights.
Its the do good world that we live in.

If ,,,[ when i was young,] got i trouble with the police, And got handled to say, a little rough..
It was probably minor to what would happen when I got home..

Its all about respect,
And unfortunately, anybody who wasn't a child of the 50s and 60 s, would have to phone a friend, to find out what that is..

Epervier, You were lucky you were at Calshot, There is nt exactly anywhere to run.
Easy bust for our boys in blue..

He will probably get community service, but that really wont deter any future[ Law Breaking ]
Its just cheap.
Unlike the repairs that you will have to do to your boats..

We need another war,[Bit Drastic] or National Service, that normally sorts the men from the boys..

The courtesy call I got from a young lady at Lyndhurst nick, informing of his release on bail and court date also said the scroat had "issues", wtf do I care about his issues! this statement only made me more spiteful, I'd give him effing issues, a hospital visit would be one issue he'd have, having written that, it wouldn't be fair on tax payers who fund the NHS.

I still think my first thought was the correct one, nature trip to visit trees in the forest, accompanied with a length of hose.

It's your fault. fancy leaving expensive equipment lying around. make sure you are represented at court, or you may go to prison. LOL. iN MY DAY SUMMARY JUSTICE WAS THE NORM.

>> nature trip to visit trees in the forest, accompanied with a length of hose.

That would seem a fair punishment, but there should also be some concept of "rehabilitation" in there, so the scroat gets some sense that are better life options compared to getting hosed in the forest. How about 14 weeks of Phase I training at Pirbright?

13mm is more effective (I've been told)...

Again, I wouldn't want to burden the tax payer with the cost of the "rehabilitation" after his nature trip I doubt if he would want to do it again, so rehabilitated, job done.

Police arrested ... had done wrong.

My Weymouth 32 has successfully resisted attempted entries by having lengths of very small matt black-painted aluminium u-profile placed within the window channels. Almost invisible, and makes the sliding windows unopenable. Damaged window frames will still need to be removed and hammered flat again.

The sliding door is being replaced with an aircraft-style parallel-opening hinge.

Now looking into security film for the glass to prevent entry via a smashed windows.

Shame it all needs to be done, but scroats are usually incorrigible and victims don't kick up enough fuss about sentencing (writing to MPs, tweeting, etc).

With regret all we need to know about our justice system has been highlghted by the moron that was given '13 life sentances' for multiple violent armed roberies, after 10 or so years was out on day release, and he 'absconded'. Well blow me, who would have thought that would have happened?
I sometimes wonder how parole boards work, on occasions like this, the objective appears confused.

Wouldn't have that have been great?
The police would have to throw a life ring, being duty bound but I think I would have delayed the throw for quite a while.:p to the legal system.

Oh I would have thrown it. Trouble is my aim isn't that good and with trying to counteract the wind and tide and with the shock it would be perfectly understandable if the first 4 or 5 throws didn't go very far or in the right direction.

All you will get then is a much fitter scrote that can swim.

To the OP, if it is a scrote of no fixed abode it won't be in court, it will just upsticks, move and start thieving from other marinas!
