I'm planning a cruise to the West Coast of Scotland. As I understand it now, I will have to make a choice between the Clyde Cruising Club's and Martin Lawrence's pilot books. Which is your preferred pilot and why? Any other that I'm not aware of?
Many thanks,

Always used the CCC Pilot when I lived/cruised there for many years, never had any problems with the advice given.

What you want is Sailing Directions Enroute Pub 141.

As a point of interest, there's loads of info here for free, well worth a look!

Both pilots are v good.
If cruising west coast. wee Feshie 25' clinker double ender will be wandering about from Islay - Skye - outer isles from April -September, look out for us or call. Also applies to all other forumites.
A small craft with a good wine cellar to be sampled!

I have spent all my last six summers sailing around Western Scotland mostly single handed, I carry both the CCC pilot and Martin Lawrence, I find them both excellent but being able to consult them both can sometimes give that bit of extra info that is assuring.
