Scottish billionaire yotties in kip marina?

...and it looks like a tender/dinghy is 1100 quid a year to keep there!
Cripes, I only pay 1200 quid a year for Full Circle!!!

Isn't it about time we had a go at a cooperative marina? It must surely be cheaper than that.

Hells Bells! No wonder I keep my boat in Turkey, well over £5000 plus lift out and relaunch in Scotland, about £2000 inclusive in Turkey.

[/ QUOTE ]not sure how it would work? I guess we could buy debentures at the beginning to create the capital - would we then get a free berth, size of which is dependant on how much we invested?

or simply become shareholders and then all pay the same rates per length for berthing, so each shareholder gets a dividend at the end?

then there is the catering facilities - would we have to take turns behind the bar, and run the risk of drinking the profits?

biggest problem would be where to build it - ads long as its within 10miles of my house, I'm fine - trust all the others will feel the same way /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Mmmmm! I was thinking of popping into Kip next week to pay a visit to the chandlery. Don't think I'll bother now at that price. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

If I was running a business at Kip I would seriously have a word with the powers that be---the chandlery have just lost about £500 of business from me,

Better stay for the day then at £1.95 per metre............or even better come and join us here at the Clyde's friendliest marina......TROON of course..

Paul.

I have a mate with a Westerly Oceanlord (40ft I think) at Kip.
I hadn't realised he was so wealthy. I'd better tap him up for a wedge.

Phew - thats exspensive !i We keep our moody 346 in greece and even taking into account flights this past year at £200 each i am still far better of staying in Greece plus i dont have to pay to anchor or in 99 percent of places we visit .i doubt very much if i could afford the upkeep of boat as well as those prices just to moor her up .

if any one is serious, think about this, DCC is cleaning up Rhyl harbour as phase 1 and as part of phase 2 wants to develop and provide a marina. as part of this it would seriously like to talk about joint ventures with potential investors.

he couldn't get his new catamaran in the marina entrance.
However good toilet facilities but he will have his own power shower on board, that just leave the retaurant and the over inflated bar prices.
oh............and the fact that it is in Troon. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
