Having hauled out to find a complete coating of barnacles with a large side order of mussels I think our Coppercoat needs livening up. I've seen lots of post advising the use of Scotchbrite but have two questions -

1. Which grade is required?

2. Where do I buy it?

Thanks,

Colin

Certainly comes in various grades, but more to it, I think, than mere dishwasher pads. I have a couple of sheets of black material designated 'paint remover', and it's like a coarse sandpaper, much harder than nylon.

if you go into any tool hire company and ask nicely for any used floor scrubbing pads, they sell them off at about a £5 each for a 60cm dia pad. Various grades and toughness available.

New hires have to have new pads.
