I would say it would be rated for 40hp max.... I had a Arrowsprint Fletcher many years ago which is also 12ft, and that was rated to 40hp. It actually had fitted a beautiful short shaft Mercury 50hp brown band.... mmmm I wish I had never sold it...

We used to run them with 50s 65s & 70s, here in Jersey, a lot of the wooden ones were built here by Rod Juffs who still live here.

Didn't he have a boat called Warlock? made his money with Everest Double glazing back in the seventies, knew him well back then, but haven't seen him since 1989.

I would add that thats based on a lightweight 2 stroke, I dont think I would want to hang 100kg+ of modern 4 stroke on the back, even if the transom could take it, the boat would end up very low in the water.
