Schwing pilot wind vane for sale. Please note this is for parts at there is a small crack on the rudder. The rest of the vane mechanism is in excellent condition so so would be ideal for parts if you already have one. Alternatively handy types could attempt a repair or better simply make a new rudder which I think would be possible as I have detailed scale drawings and installation instructions. I'll accept offers in region of £250.

As a complete aside if anyone has one and wants to sell to me I may be interested...!

Hi and thanks for your interest.

If you send me an e-mail address I'll send you the diagrams.

It steers the boat using it's own auxiliary rudder which is quite small.

I am informed it was the put on new Vancouver 27's in the early 80's.

It's very simple and easy to install and remove so does have some advantages over other wind steering systems.

I have not actually used it but have read that they work quite well!?

If it uses its own little rudder I'll pass on it, thanks anyway.
