Laundryman from the Scuttlebutt Poole cruise has a lot to answer for: he has both scatter cushions and fake electric candles to enhance his saloon, after seeing them guess what SWMBO has bought for the boat in preparation for our annual family cruise?

We also have a set of electric candles but not remote control ones like yours! So much better than fiddling with paraffin lamps for a bit of mood lighting!

Mood lighting: as in "I don't know what you are playing with those for, I'm not in the mood!"

PS We have scatter cushions on the boat. They are very handy pillows for having a nap with. They also match the curtains. Unfortunately the curtains are in the porch of our cottage.

We inherited loads of scatter cushions on Ariam - they don't have stilettos or ice-lollies on them, though.

(We sent about half of them home as surplus to requirements.)

Exactly what I was thinking

Any good for mopping up diesel spills?

Then there was / is the issue of 'stowage for sea' ..... or having Velcro everywhere, and if not! .... then them having their own dedicated locker / stowage. ...... I'm still going for Diesel-mops / pads. ;)
