Morning,

I really like some of the boats that come out of Scandinavian manufactures and think they have a lot to offer to us UK boaters in terms of weather protection, layout and performance.

http://www.astramarine.com/

http://finnmaster.fi/en

http://www.aquadorboats.fi/

http://www.xoboats.fi/#home

to list a few....

Im not really into a new build boat at the moment so can anyone point me in the direction of any used boat sales sites that cover this area? there doestn seem to be a huge amount on Yachtworld, boatshop24. etc etc..

looking for something a little more specific to scandaniavian market as i assume there are some boats for sale locally there?

thanks in advance.

google the boat type that you like, & "for sale" or similar in local language, and you might find the local adds

this way I found a Karnic in Harstad Norway for sale at that time. (and went looking at her )
exiting times, searching for a new boat
good luck with it !

thanks Bart and Scubaman, just what i was looking for!

there is a Masmar 33 for sale locally (which incidently owned by a forum member) but its a bit too steep for me at the moment although it would go well with a pair of Steyr's.....

All true.

What budget range are you looking for? The overall prices in Scandinavia may seem high, but until you negotiate you never know ;)

finn.no is renowned for good quality pics as well so may add to the general info & entertainment. There is a search filter panel on the left side of he page http://www.finn.no/finn/boat/used/result?sort=1&keyword=
You'll see boats with rather modest engines because Norwegian sales tax from new is calculated on hp (for 2014 it is hp*£15.81).

Bear in mind, that Norway is not EU and will incur duty + VAT if imported. Also observe CE marking requirements - regardless of model year.

You may check scanboat.com too. Based in Denmark and peculiar in the way that they want you to pay(!) to view some of the pics. Silly...
Some of the Scandinavian boats can be found in Germany (try 'gebrauchtboote' in Google) or Netherlands (see http://www.botentekoop.nl/)

In Denmark eBay is running a local site called dba.dk (actually acquired it but allow it to operate on it's own, so far.)
Currently some 2300 boats in the mobo section:
http://www.dba.dk/baade/baade/motorbaade/type-motorbaad/

A somewhat smaller, still loved by many who do not fancy eBay_style, ad site in DK is
http://www.guloggratis.dk/sport/baade/?q=b%E5d

Although traditionally of high quality more Scandinavian makes ventured into eastern Europe for inexpensive labor when the home market level sky rocketed (Norway in particular). Quality Assurance was not mandatory to all, so do look closely if tempted.

For searches, 'used boat' translates to

Danish: brugt båd
Swedish: begagnad båt
Norwegian: brukt båt

For all add 'motor' to get 'motorbåd' etc.
