And if you get one that says £20 notes are now obsolete and can only be used by sending them to boatmike in a plain brown envelope who will spend them on your behalf .....it's real..... Do it at once....

I find it quite amusing the number of American 'Banks' that nowadays find that the details I am supposed to have supplied do not tally with their records and 'please re-submit your Pin numbers etc via the link below....!'

But it occurs to me, it should not be beyond the wit of some of you computer buffs to come up with a means whereby these Phishing Emails can be returned to sender with a little nasty attached to chew up the offenders system?

But some of these crooks are beginning to get quite clever and sound almost convincing. So if in doubt, make contact some other way - no reputable on line company should object to having their communications verified.

No point replying to the email - it will be a duff account anyway - otherwise they would be swamped by the number of "Out of Office" or "Undeliverable"s due to the weight of numbers they submit in.
A certain web company did launch an offensive against the spammers, but it ended up as an illegal DoS attack so they had to suspend operations /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif Silly really....
