Looks like the preliminary approach for the scam whereby you will be sent a "bank draft" for more than the asking price and asked to wire the change back to the "buyer". Trouble is the "bank draft" will be a forgery, drawn on an overseas bank, and it will bounce after you have been pressured into sending real money.
 
I used to spend a lot of time on a computer forum, and one regular caused a lot of merriment with his reports of on-going correspondence with a Nigerian scammer. (The one where they need to your bank account to hide funds in).

Apparently he managed to persuade the scammer to send him a money order for $40 dollars, which he "needed" to be able to open an appropriate account.

So, yes, it is possible to make money from these scams /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
