Having spent the last few days at the boat show and had plenty of time to walk around the show, is it me or are there many more motor boats being exhibited than in years past?

Still a great show, think we will have a stand there next year if all goes well.

How come? - it looks like a sea of cheap plastic tupperware on the pontoon berths at SBS.

Oh Really...... What tupperware do you buy that can cost $4 million a peice?
Lots of sail boats on the pontoons also but you can't see em cause they're overshadowed by the lovely motorboats ;¬)

My impression was not of more motorboats, but that the moorings had been arranged differently compared with previous years so that motor and sail were less mixed, more heavily concentrated, giving the impression that there were more MBs on show. Conversely, ashore, it looked like there were more sailers.

Prices

Agree about the motor boats; far too many.

Clearing out my loft a few days ago I came across a Southampton Boat Show catalogue. 240 pages, A5 size. Price? 30p. Year? 1976. How much does this year's catalogue cost? I bet that's gone up by more than inflation.
