Glad you had a good day yesterday, Nice weather for it!
We must have crossed yesterday as we came down from Harleyford to Bray.
I was looking out for forum members but imagine we crossed at Cookham lock where I was engrossed in conversation with the river inspector in your pictures, a charming lady who is very concerned about our views of the Thames.
We stopped briefly just below Maidenhead and were horrified that the council are charging £8.00 mooring fee for "24 hrs or any part there of". /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif Quick cuppa then carried on.

We only got as far the old church at Bovney, when the decision to have a long lazy lunchthere and then a BBQ back at the mooring below Romney lock in the evening took the afternoon away before we knew it. Great weather and a really nice day. Even the eldest had a smile on his face despite revising as we dawdled up and down.

Roll on more sunny days

Think I saw you there on Saturday, cruised down to Bovney lock then turned around just before the lock and went back to the marina.

Apollo was moored a couple of hundred metres up river from you, think I wound up some rowers while "treading water" along side him having a chat.

A lovely day to be out but unfortunately had to be back that evening for other engagements.

Darren.

Hi

Think I remember seeing you but did not realise you were from the forum or that Apollo was just up. We normally moor by the rowing place but syopped earlier when we saw our friend.

If it was you I remember seeing I think you were on the flybridge?

Nick

Yep, up on the flybridge with my head sticking up through the canopy - couldn't remember your name or would have called out.

Likewise we saw Jersey Girl, but did not realise - you need to get a Burgee from HLB!!

Actually that is a good point - I need one too - I wonder if he does discounts for bulk purchases? /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Ask him Darren, the Thames forum is starting to come alive and it will be worth getting one - not sure where I'd put mine though. May have to resurrect my bow jack if I can find it.

Yeah somewhere on the bow, cos being a steely boat, people will always be in front of you....Teehee /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Bulk buying is not looking promising, unless we can get some large numbers of people together. Think its probably best to each just order our own but I don't mind ordering a couple if I know people want them.
