A vampire bat came flapping in from the night, face all covered in fresh blood and parked himself on the
roof of the cave asleep.

Pretty soon all the other bats smelt the blood and began hassling him about where he got it. He told them
to bugger off and let him get some sleep, but they persisted until he finally gave in.

"OK, follow me", he said, and flew out of the cave with hundreds of bats behind him. Down through a valley they went, across a river and into a huge forest of trees. Finally he slowed down and all the other bats excitedly milled around him tongues hanging out for blood.

"Do you see that large oak tree over there?" he asked.

"YES, YES, YES!!!!" the bats all screamed in a frenzy.

Good!" said the vampire bat, "Because I bl**dy didn't".

Just when I'm wondering what's happened to Sandra you pop up with a story that really made me smile - and its got nothing to do with boats so even more surprising that I should be amused by it appearing on this once illustrious, but nowadays rather quiet forum. I must congratulate you in your attempt to triumph over adversity.<BG>

Been down on the Boat all week.
All 6 of us sleeping on board. Weather was cr*p!!!
Daughter was after a tan - no chance.

Still can't go down for the next 3 weekends so decision time.
Do I go down on my own for a few days (not popular with SWMBO or kids) or do I go and tow the boat back here put her on the drive and do all those odds and ends that need doing. Decisions - decisions ..........

.....just go and get it....you know it makes sense !

A boat in the drive is still somewhat preferable to no drive in the boat..........
