Saturday classics in the Solent

Lots of nice photos of classic yachts sailing in the Solent here at http://www.setsail.com/s_logs/dashew/dashew561.html

These were taken by the Dashews on their 'unsailboat' (ie modern aluminium motor boat) 'Wind Horse'.
I posted a link to this (and other) articles on Setsail about their English adventures on the Mobo Forum, but thought that many folk on the Classic Forum might not have read it there.

I did notice that Steve Dashew does seem to have very fixed opinions about many aspects of design of boats, incl gaff rig!

Agree, nice pics. Very doubtful about knowledge of any rig though, confusing staysails and topsails is a bit basic.
