Now we are so comfortable below decks in the blazing Med sun ( courtesy our new A/C) our thoughts turn to entertainment and the need to keep in touch with the world.
I am considering a satellite tv for our camper and for the boat. I thought I needed 3 main bits, dish, receiver and the tv itself. On ebay I see 12v TV units for sale where it is claimed you just plug directly into the dish. Is this now the case?
Can anyone recommend a model?

We have our local version of satellite tv on our boat and ours consist of TV decoder and dish.

Dish to decoder 50ohm coax decoder to TV normal av connection.

The main issue you need to consider is the alignment of the dish and that it must be very steady. Ours id bolted to the main walk on spine at aut marina. We did have it on the boat at first but we were forever realigning it when the wind blew or a boat went past.
