Satellite internet access

Anyone out there using this?

I am using a G3/GPRS card in port with variable results. Crazy stuff like if I haven't used the card in a month and then go roaming I need to put the SIM into a telephone just to tell the system I'm there. Vodafone say this is normal!!

Only snag is that when I contacted a Tracnet dealer he said he doubted he could be faster than the GPRS service which doesn't sound like the adverts (512k etc etc)

I normally get a 384k connection on 3G - and occasionally have to put the sim into a phone - not sure why the phone resets whetever needs resetting but it has worked on all the occasions I've had to try it.... /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
