I replaced my ancient and waterlogged 9500 with a very nice secondhand 9555.
Now I can use it for email too are there any programs I may need?

Mailasail have a raft of programmes for this. You need an account , although the software is free to download.

I'm sure there are other programmes about.

We have our sat phone connected to a mailasail redbox, which means we can use anything, iPads,iPhones to send and receive compressed e mails. Takes the stress out of the process.
