Planning a trip over to the Channel Islands on Saturday 7th after Cowes Fire Works night.

Leaving Lymington early - 5 to 6am to make the most of the very light winds we have been having at this time for the last few weeks and avoiding the sea breeze that has been pretty nasty at times.

Also works fairly well with the tides for the Alderney Race as slack water is 7.30am - 8am BST.

We will probably call into Braye as we have to register our dog and then carry on down to Sark later in the day 2.15pm BST for the next Slack water in The Swinge. Unless conditions are very fine in which case we may go straight through to Guernsey.

Crossing speed circa 23 - 27 knots dependant on sea state.

Anyone else doing a simular passage and want to go in tandem?
