The marina at St Cyp is vast, but not that exciting

The new marina further down the road at Port Argeles is smaller & a lot more cosmopolitan.
An 11 odd metre cruiser like mine, costs €3000 a year to berth. And there's a waiting list.

You can do a boat trip from Port Argeles that takes you round to Collioure and onto Port Vendres. On a nice day, it's a fab thing to do.

Collioure is worth a visit in it's own right.

Also, if you fancy a little drive out, Carcassonne is worth a day, and also maybe Andorra, if you can stomach the road. Likewise Port Madeloc.

There'a fab little shack by the petrol station at the north end of Argeles where you can buy the local wines for about a euro per litre. But judging from the state of some of the guys filling their plastic containers, you may decide to opt for some of the better stuff.

If your self catering the best / cheapest supermarket is the Auchan in Perpignan.

The beaches at Argeles are superb.

You can get overnight storms due to being at the foot of the Pyrenees, but otherwise a very nice spot.

If you're driving down using the Autoroutes, the tolls are quite expensive - about €90 something each way.

Eating out can be shockingly expensive.
