Anybody heard anything detrimental / good about Samurai GMC V8 diesel conversions in Seaton, Devon?

As it's a local chap I need to be a bit diplomatic - so far I've not heard any good reports, so would suggest caution.

IMHO The GMC diesel is not the best choice of block to be converting in the first place. Have a chat with Mike at Lancing Marine.

A friend had, in their own words, the misfortune to run one of those Samurai conversions a while back, it was already in the boat from the owner before. From memory the probs where the weight, poor performance, and as 'Col' says in their post an eventual... Bang, Clank, Stop.
