....or should it be "Salvage Bird"? Anyway, tonights eposiode was much better having dropped the two bozos and the pretense that the squad actually play a significant part in the re-builds. Much better to focus on the professionals. Amphicar looked really good fun. Also nice to see my local marina (Upton) and a little piece on S.A.R.A. (Severn Area Rescue Association).

I suspect a little TV trickery along the way though.

They gave the impression that they did Walton on Thames to Oxford up the Thames in a day.

Yeah right!

Still, enjoyable all the same.

Hi Pete,

You must not be a million miles from me then! I'm in Belbroughton and normally launch at Stourport. Was wondering what Upton marina was like though? Any thoughts? I know stourport likes £10 per launch, what are the prices up your way? Also, Stourport suffers from people mooring at bottom of slip and other stupid places. What's the congestion like up by you then?
Sorry for the million questions, just wondering if the other side really is greener!! Can't wait to get that boat off the trailer come the nice weather. (18 foot wellcraft)

Cheers

Steve

You might get away with Upton - but in the summer the bottom of the slip is a pain in the %^&*, cus it is shallow and the deep bit is off to the right - if someone is in the berth opposite it was impossible for me to lauch. /forums/images/icons/mad.gif

I suggest Kempsey is a much better place to Launch from - Seabourne.
Excellent slipway - much easier.

Tonights episode was an absolute classic. They did up an old WW2 Beaver submarine. Funniest bit was when they found some old german who apparently, and I quote, "dived in beavers during the war"!

Fnarr, fnarr. Sorry Kim.
