Hi,

I have a jaguar 22 based in Gosport that myself and husband have been doing up over the winter (now running into summer!).

She's still out the water but just about ready to go back in.

I have day skipper qualification but still very much a newbie (especially to being in charge and owning a boat). OH has only ever been in out sailing a couple of times.

It would be great to hook up with someone older with lots of sailing experience to harness and mentor our energy and enthusiasm. We'd keep you fed and watered and cover all sailing costs.

We're mainly looking to potter around the solent at weekends, maybe trips to bournemouth etc.

Did you get any PMs to this or is this only reply?

We have a Drascombe same size as yours and have found owners club and rallies excellent ways of getting expert help and guidance. I'm currently working towards coastal skipper and although experience of the larger boats required for DS etc is useful, the smaller boats like the Jaguar handle very differently and to some extent give better training experience in early stages. We often sail around Chichester area & Solent and would be willing to pass on advise in exchange for a trip to give my wife experience of boat with a boom! PM me if interested.

Did you follow up the Ashdown link - what did you think?

Regards
Colin
