salt water on inboard engines

it would obviously be ideal if you never got any on, but i recon that's unavoidable over time.

so, rinse the engine with tap water at times, make sure it dries out asap and spray it with 'inhibiting oil'

what would be better than letting it pickle ?

Coat in ACF-50, it will protect it for a year or more and attack corrosion if there is any.
