Salerno sprayhood repair

Hi all

Having returned to the boat we've just realised that the sprayhood windows have disintegrated over winter, and the marina wants 650 euro to replace 3 windows (35ft boat). This seems very pricy to me?

Does anyone know a shop /company in salerno that could do this type of work ?

I had three windows replaced for 30E on my 43ft and it was a very good job, so 650E is a bit high, if you have a production boat then for that money have tecsew send out a couple of new spray hoods. The best places I have found for this work are car/motor cycle trimmers, ask a local where they get their lambretta seats repaired.

Itallian marinas don't ya just luv em! - it was around that area they were asking 100E a litre for water a couple of years back - incredible.

Thanks for your suggestion, it put us unto seeking a car upholstery shop and ended up illustrating why you have to love Italy despite it's occasional frustrations. We were cycling around the local industrial estate like the pair of lost foreigners we are until a local spotted us cycling in circles and immediately offered to help. Once explained he insisted on giving us a ride to a local sail repair shop, who have started a full revision for 150e . The best and the worst of sailing in Italy in a day!

For anyone interested in this in the future,we ended up going to Aurora sails,on the industrial park about 3km South of Salerno centre
