Just in case anyone was thinking of fueling up here, the barge has gorn.
Went to fill up on a couple of days this week and finally found out that it was away for its "annual holiday" (survey). This situation lasts for 2 to 3 weeks apparently.

We normally try to avoid him, but on Thursday we went up the Dart and as the weather for later in the week looked dodgy, thought we'd top up at Dartmouth. I'd already posted here that they were closed on Thursday but had forgotten this - age you know !! So on Friday when the Salcombe barge is meant to be open we found that there was no barge to be seen. Ended up with a collection of cans and had to buy Gas Oil from the garage in Kingsbridge.
Now that was really, really expensive - come back barge, all is forgiven.
I've also got elongated arms from all the humping about that was necessary. Thank god we've only got a small boat - only needed 200 litres - but that was 3 trips to the garage by car.
Still, it's all worth it innit !! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
