Hi,

I know it's a long shot, but I wonder if anyone can give me advice on working as a traditional sailmaker, preferably in France. In 2002 I spent 7 months with Squaresail in Cornwall learning to rig and sail their squareriggers. I spent the last 6 weeks working with Alf, their (now retired) sailmaker. After the course I was asked back to help him make a new tops'l for the 'Earl of Pembroke'. I have photos of my work and after 2 years in the French canals, I'd like to go back there to work. Any ideas on where to start looking for traditional sail lofts? My French is basic, but usually serviceable. Any advice, including other countries I should consider, would be gratefully recieved.

Thanks.
