I recently received a quote for a new mainsail and would like help to interpret the measurements supplied by the sailmaker.

I = 7.01
J = 2.30
P = 7.80
E = 2.50

Now I don't know what these measurements relate to. Am I right in guessing that:

I = luff
J = length of foot at row of reefing points (I asked for one row, slab)
P = leech
E = foot

Or have I got the wrong end of the stick in some way?

Thanks in advance

Probably already answered by the above link, but briefly P & E are for the mainsail. P is the luff length, normally referred to as the hoist. E is the foot.

I & J are for the headsails.
